Bryan Kaus

Position: Business Improvement and Optimisation, Commercial; Phillips66

A 15-year veteran of the energy industry, Bryan is an industry thought leader with extensive experience across a wide-range variety of business disciplines that have made him expert in developing and executing on strategy, operations, business innovation, stakeholder engagement, financial excellence, and organizational development.

Most recently, Mr. Kaus has operated in Phillips 66’s Commercial business unit, where he has played a central role in formulating, executing and sustaining the organization's operations and strategic planning initiatives, especially in the areas of logistics and crude oil. Previously he held a role in Global Marketing Strategy where he was a key voice in moving toward more data-driven decision making, market development, and analytics-driven business decision making with focuses on modeling, pricing, supply, growth through acquisitions/JVs and the introduction of scenario planning. Before strategy, he managed a wholesale fuels portfolio where he doubled the volume of his portfolio in 18 months. Prior to this, he held a number of key corporate roles, including positions in corporate affairs and government relations, and played a critical role in the launch and growth phase of Phillips 66 Partners. Early in his career, he held several positions of increasing responsibility at ConocoPhillips with a focus on stakeholder engagement.

Bryan has served on several non-profit boards of directors, and is highly engaged in hands-on philanthropic efforts, such as Big Brothers Big Sisters. He is also a founding partner of nüEvo Development LLC., an independent strategic consulting firm.

Mr. Kaus earned a degree from Pennsylvania State University, and holds certifications from Rutgers University, The University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School and Northwestern University. He is a member of the American Economic Association, National Investor Relations Institute, World Affairs Council of Greater Houston and a registered independent lobbyist.
