David Rodger

David has worked in both the Renewables and Oil and Gas industries including over 20 years as a civil servant with time as a speech & brief writer for energy ministers and senior officials.   He re-joined Aberdeen Renewable Energy  Group (AREG) in the role of CEO from October 2021 to March 2023 -  helping to grow the group to over 280 members and deliver the Energy Futures Conference and Exhibition at P&J Live Aberdeen in November 2022.  He joined Shell in 2012 to work in their Upstream Communications Team including support for the Scottish University Eco-Marathon vehicle Teams.  Previously spent four years with AREG as their communications manager from 2005 to 2009 before joining Vattenfall in 2009 to support the development of the Clashindarroch onshore wind farm near Huntly and the Aberdeen Offshore Windfarm.
