Julien de Beer

Julien de Beer is Vice President, Engineering & Design Business at AVEVA.

Julien has been in the engineering technology business for more than 25 years and is currently responsible for the Strategy and P&L for AVEVA’s Engineering & Design Business.

Within his tenure at AVEVA, Julien has helped grow and develop AVEVA’s Engineering and Project Execution solutions and processes in various roles.

Julien joined AVEVA in 2003 in the Paris office in France, where he contributed to the significant growth of the regional business as Business Development Manager and later as Project Manager for some of AVEVA’s key customers. In 2012 Julien joined the Portfolio Management team and has been responsible for the entire suite of AVEVA’s Engineering Business solutions, covering Process Simulation solutions, Engineering & Design solutions, Material Management solutions, Construction Management solutions and Operator Training Simulation solutions. In 2021 Julien joined the Engineering Business Unit to oversee AVEVA’s Engineering & Design business across all functions.

During his time at AVEVA Julien gained considerable experience in managing complex projects around the world, from Europe to Asia and North America to ensure efficient execution and successful delivery, particularly in challenging situations.

Julien is a Mechanical Engineer by education and worked more than 8 years with mechanical engineering analysis and design solutions prior to joining AVEVA.
