Phillip Dawson

Phillip Dawson is the Director of Product overseeing digital applications at NOV. He is responsible for developing digital products across the enterprise that are used both internally and externally. Another focus of the role is creating solutions that use data to improve manufacturing asset management and reliability engineering.

Prior to his current role, Phillip was a management consultant with McKinsey & Co. focusing on digital and operations transformations across the oil and gas, manufacturing, power, and automotive sectors. He began his career as a submarine officer in the United States Navy responsible for operations, maintenance, and quality control of three nuclear reactors across North America, Europe, and MENA.

Phillip earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and master’s degree in nuclear engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a master’s degree in business administration from the Harvard Business School
