Turbulent Flux is a simulation software company headquartered in Oslo, Norway. We deliver real-time three-phase flow simulations for production monitoring and optimization through our virtual flow metering (FLUX VFM) application. Our simulations are based on our proprietary FLUX Simulator, with an underlying hybrid modeling approach combining physics-based and machine-learning models. Our approach provides superior accuracy and the ability to address a broader range of use cases than physics or machine learning alone, e.g. to accurately determine phase fractions at 90+% water cut.

The real-time FLUX VFM is cloud-native, integrates with proprietary operational systems through an open-API layer, and self-calibrates for consistent assurance of up-to-date, quality simulations. Fast deployment and low maintenance of our software solutions enable a quick and efficient way for our clients to take effective production decisions.

We have deployed our virtual flow meters both on offshore and onshore/unconventional assets.
