Calum MacLean is Projects Director at Marine Technical Limits (MTL), specialising in the development and delivery of engineering-led integrity management solutions for offshore assets, with particular focus on FPSOs and complex hull structures.
With over 25 years’ experience in hull integrity engineering, Calum has led the development and implementation of integrity management systems, ageing asset strategies, and life extension assessments across a wide range of offshore assets. His work has centred on quantifying and managing structural risk, defining inspection and maintenance regimes, and supporting operators in extending asset life while maintaining safety and compliance.
He has been closely involved in advancing digital approaches to integrity management, including the integration of data-driven methodologies and digital twin technologies to improve inspection planning, condition assessment, and risk-based decision-making.
