Dr. Berthod started his career in 2006 as senior research engineer at IFPEN (France) and oversaw multiple national and international research & development projects.
From 2012, In his capacity of ADNOC Refining Research Centre Vice President he played a pivotal role in structuring, developing, and managing the sole refining applied research center in the country and led a team of multi-disciplined, multi-cultural professionals comprising of 90 scientists, technicians and operators to set a solid expertise for the refining R&D activities of ADNOC.
In 2022, He has been appointed Head of the Process Technology & Chemistry Competence Centre of Borealis Innovation & Technology Division in Austria. In this new role, He supported the company transformation towards a circular economy of polyolefins and a carbon neutral footprint.
Since September 2023, Dr. Berthod is back in the Middle East and is leading OMV new strategy development in the region on his position of Head of Business Development & Sustainability Growth MEA.  Â
