Edmary Altamiranda holds a PhD in Applied Sciences with a focus on Intelligent Control Systems and brings over 30 years of experience in controls and systems engineering, digital innovation, and subsea technology. She is currently Controls & Systems Engineering Lead for Business Transformation Technology at Aker BP, leading pioneering R&D and joint industry projects in the subsea sector.
Her work focuses on advancing field architecture optimisation, intelligent control, subsea wireless communications, the Internet of Underwater Things (IoUT), digital twins, and systems engineering applied to field development, control systems, maintenance, and integrity.
Edmary was recently recognised among Norway’s Top 50 Women in Technology (2025), named a finalist for Petrolady of the Year 2024, and recognised as a finalist for the Nordic Women in Tech Awards Digital Transformation Leader of the Year 2025.
