Pedro Santos is Head of Data Science at NEO NEXT+ Energy, where he leads AI strategy and machine learning across subsea and production operations. With over 12 years of experience delivering applied machine learning across energy, finance, and consumer goods, he combines strong technical expertise with a track record of deploying AI solutions in production environments.
His experience includes founding the Advanced Analytics team at the Bank of England and developing predictive maintenance systems and digital twins at TotalEnergies. His work on applied machine learning in energy was recognised with the Oil & Gas UK Business Innovation Award for Large Enterprise in 2021.
At FOG 2026, he will co-present with Senior Pipeline Engineer Daniel Mercado on Conseil, an AI-powered freespan detection system developed in collaboration with engineering subject matter experts, highlighting the role of partnership in delivering responsible AI for asset integrity.
