Presentation : Future Oil & Gas 2026 – Floating Power Plant

Anders Køhler of Floating Power Plant at Future Oil & Gas 2026 explores how integrated floating wind and hydrogen storage can provide green energy on demand, helping offshore operators power assets, support subsea equipment and unlock new value in the energy transition.

Maximising the Value of Your Assets in the Energy Transition

The energy transition is creating new pressure on offshore operators to reduce emissions, improve energy security and extract greater value from existing assets. In this presentation, Anders Køhler of Floating Power Plant explores how integrated floating wind and hydrogen storage can provide green energy on demand while opening new opportunities for oil and gas infrastructure.

The session introduces Floating Power Plant’s approach to combining offshore wind with hydrogen for long-duration energy storage. When the wind blows, power can be supplied directly to the client, while excess energy is converted into hydrogen. When wind generation falls, stored hydrogen can be converted back into electricity, enabling a more continuous and flexible supply of green power.

For oil and gas companies, the presentation focuses on practical offshore applications. These include powering platforms around the clock, supporting subsea equipment where power from the main platform is not feasible, enabling compression, EOR and pumping systems, and creating new end-of-life opportunities such as hydrogen export or offshore data centre hubs.

A key message is that energy transition does not have to mean adding asset burden. Floating Power Plant positions its model as power as a service, with no asset ownership required, long-term lease structures, minimal topside modifications and integration at the operator’s required voltage. This allows offshore assets to access green energy while preserving flexibility and reducing infrastructure complexity.

See how Floating Power Plant is rethinking offshore renewable energy, helping operators turn existing assets, locations and infrastructure into platforms for lower-carbon power, energy security and future commercial opportunities.
