Alastair Reid

Alastair is the Competitor Insights Manager at bp within the Strategy, Sustainability & Ventures group. Over the last four years in this role, he has been responsible for analysing and comparing bp’s strategy and performance against traditional competitors, energy market disrupters and potential partners. His area of focus has been on the Energy Transition strategies along with low carbon efforts across the supermajors, Euro IOCs, power utility players and low carbon specialists. Prior to joining bp, he worked in consulting teams in IHS Markit (now S&P) and WoodMackenzie for 10 years in E&P / upstream technology. A native of Aberdeen, Alastair started his career at Talisman Energy in 2006. He holds a MSc in Management, Innovation & Change from the University of Aberdeen.
