Edmary Altamiranda has the degrees of Systems Engineer (Process Control Systems), Master of Science in Control Engineering, Doctor in Applied Sciences (Intelligent Control Systems). Edmary has held positions in the Oil & Gas business since 1994 within Process Control Engineering and Automation Engineering in the Petrochemical Industry, including experiences on applied AI to process modeling, virtual instruments & intelligent control systems. Senior and Principal Engineer Subsea Control Systems (2006-2018). Academic / Research Experience as Assistant Professor / Senior Researcher and Postdoctoral Researcher in the Control System and Artificial Intelligence fields. Control Systems Lead Technology at Aker BP since November 2018 working in various R&D, technology projects and Joint Industry Programs with various industrial and academic partners. Some of the current R&D and Technology areas cover: Subsea Wireless Communications, Underwater Vehicles and Drones, Subsea IoT, Alternative Power sources, Production Optimization, Field Development, Maintenance & Integrity, Model Based Systems Engineering applied to System of Systems Engineering and Digital Twin Technology.
