Ronnie Bains

Ronnie Bains is the Director of Process Simulation for Emerson, based in the UK. He is focussed on working with clients to leverage value from the Digital Twin, across the lifecycle of an asset and as a key step in digital transformation. He has over 17 years’ experience in the process industries and has been central to developing Emerson’s global Digital Twin strategy. More recently he has been responsible for the development of the 3D Immersive Simulation business.

Prior to his current role,  Ronnie has held various positions within Engineering, Consultancy, Sales & Business Development, supporting advanced solution within different industries. Ronnie holds a first degree in Chemical Engineering from Loughborough University in the UK, as well as an Executive MBA from Geneva Business school. He is an active member of the IChemE, where he has presented at various industry events advocating the use of Process Simulation to support both Project & Operational excellence.

Ronnie is married to Sandy and they have 3 boys, Remy and a set non-digital twins Evan and Valen.
